The Ohio Association of Orthodontists has undertaken significant changes in the 2009-2010 year - and we want to let you know about them!
The first and most positive change is that OAO hired a professional association management company, Accent on Management, to manage day to day operations, finances and membership. OAO has caught up with previous tax filings and is looking forward to better financial management with the team at Accent on Management.
What does this mean for members? First of all, there is now a name and a number you can use to contact OAO: Tionna Van Gundy, Executive Director, can be reached at 614.221.1900, for any questions or inquiries you may have. Tionna is working closely with Kate Brunswick, and either of them will take your calls and work to help you in whatever way they can. You can now contact Kate or Tionna at the OAO Office for Informed Consent Booklets, and they'll arrange to ship them to you at the reasonable price of $50 per 100.
Secondly, a Board of Directors for OAO has been put in place and will meet in March, 2010 to set priorities for the organization. Click the leadership tab above to see the 2009-2010 Executive Board list.
OAO is thrilled to announce that Ravi Nanda will be the Orthodontists' featured speaker at the 2010 ODA convention, Sept. 23-26, at the Columbus Convention Center. Dr. Nanda will present a day-long workshop titled Enhancing Esthetics with Smart Orthodontic Mechanics. Mark your calendars and plan now to attend!
The OAO web site has been updated with pertinent information and will continue to be a resource for our Ohio members. Watch your email in-boxes for news from OAO about the upcoming meetings/events, news from the American Association of Orthodontists, and more! In the meantime, if you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact us by phone or email. We're excited to begin a new era for OAO!
